Айсинг происходит, когда хоккеист посылает шайбу через центральную красную линию и через линию ворот противника, не забрасывая при этом в ворота и не давая противнику шанс коснуться шайбы в нейтральной зоне или своей зоне защиты. Если нападающий касается шайбы сразу после того, как она пересекла обе линии, то проброс не засчитывается. Если айсинг зафиксирован, то судья на линии останавливает игру, и она продолжается с вбрасывания в зоне защиты команды, совершившей нарушение.

icing (the puck)
Icing occurs when a hockey player shoots the puck across both the center red line and the opposing team's goal line without the puck going into the net or being able to be touched by an opposing player in their neutral or defensive zones. If an offensive player touches the puck first after it crosses both lines, icing is negated. When icing occurs, a linesman stops play, and it is resumed with a face-off in the defending zone of the team that committed the infraction.
